On April 26-27, 2018, the International Scientific Conference "The Impact of a New Geopolitical Reality on the Public Administration and Development of the Russian Federation" was held at the Chechen State University on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Chechen State University. This event, significant for the faculty of public administration, attracted numerous guests and participants from the countries of near and far abroad and regions of Russia.

At the opening ceremony, the members of the presidium - representatives of the Administration of the Head of Government and the Government of the Chechen Republic, Grozny Municipal Duma, as well as the university's management made a welcoming speech. The first vice-rector of the university, Zaur Kindarov, read the welcome speech of the rector of the Chechen State University, in which Zaurbek Saidov wished the participants and guests of the conference fruitful work and interesting scientific discussions.

Doctor of Political Science, professor at the North Caucasus Federal University, Vartumyan Arushan noted the growing role of geopolitics in the current realities for the state management and development of the Russian Federation as a whole and outlined the key themes of the forthcoming work.

The plenary session heard reports from participants. The further work of the conference continued in the framework of sectional sessions. In total, the conference was divided into 5 sections, each of which was presented 10-15 reports. The work of all sections of the conference was fruitful, in an atmosphere of collective scientific search, communication and discussions between teachers and students. At the conclusion of the sectional sessions, the section leaders summed up the results and awarded the reporters with honorary diplomas for the best report in each section.

The work of the conference ended with a pleasant note - a concert and awarding the best teachers and students of the faculty of public administration.
